ABOUT THE SONG
RUBY JANE
RUBY JANE – NASHVALLEY began with a song a friend had written about his soon-to-be bride. who didn't like a cowrite revision. Prompting Ruby Jane to come to life— the lyrics, music, structure, story and even the name. What came out was no longer the same song, but a new song with a new character and a new identity. The result is a Dirt Country portrait of a green-eyed, blue-jean country queen who is soft as a rose and hard as the day is long.
“Soft as a rose, hard as the day is long.”
