I WANNA LOVE YOU
I WANNA LOVE YOU lives in the contradiction. It is about wanting somebody badly enough that every emotion shows up at once: love, lust, fear, anger, need and distance. The song keeps swinging between those extremes because real relationships do not always arrive neatly packaged as one emotion at a time. Sometimes you want to kiss somebody. Sometimes you want to disappear. Sometimes you want to hurt them. Sometimes you want them closer than anyone else. I WANNA LOVE YOU does not try to clean that up. It lets the contradiction stay messy. That is the point. It holds on every emotion Love can bring.
“I wanna love you. I wanna leave you.”
