A funny Dirt Country song about a big country girl with backwoods roots, plenty of personality and absolutely no shortage of cornbread.

ABOUT THE SONG

CORNBREAD FED

CORNBREAD FED is one of those songs that is not trying to solve anything. It is just supposed to make you laugh. The song builds a larger-than-life country girl from the ground up. She is big. She is country. She was born and raised in the sticks. And when she walks by, apparently the ground notices. But underneath all the jokes is one important line: ‘But I love her, she’s the apple of my eye.’ That is really the center of the song. The joke is not that somebody loves her in spite of who she is. He loves the whole package. Then the song does what any respectable Dirt Country song about cornbread eventually has to do: butter, honey, hot and fluffy. CORNBREAD FED is simple, ridiculous and intentionally fun.

“But I love her, she’s the apple of my eye.”

Well she is a big old girl
She can really rock your world
The ground shakes when she walks by

Born and raised in the sticks
Her parents were Hicks
Just a good old girl
That’ll rock your world

Little bit of butter
Little bit of honey
Finger lickin’ good
Hot ’n fluffy
